Cookie Policy
This cookie policy explains the cookies and similar storage used by the Superhero Universe website. Last updated 14 October 2026. Read it with the privacy policy. Superhero Universe is an independent store at 2/53 Salisbury Rd, Asquith NSW 2077, Australia, and is not affiliated with Marvel or Disney.
The short version
The scripts written for this website do not set cookies. They do not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or a consent cookie. One kind of browser storage matters. Local storage keeps a copy of an inquiry after you submit a form. Pages also request font files from Google Fonts, which is a third-party request. You can use the site without submitting a form.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to store, then send back on later visits. Cookies are often used for logins, shopping carts, measurement, and ads. This website has no login, no cart, and no ad tag in its own scripts, so it does not need those cookies. If your browser shows no cookies for this site after a visit, that matches how the pages are built.
Local storage, which is not a cookie
Local storage is a place in the browser where a page can keep text until something deletes it. It does not travel to a server with each page view. This site uses it for inquiry copies, and only after you submit a form.
There is no saved-category list. Cards do not write a category name into the browser. “View Collectible” only opens a page. The contact page does not show a list of categories and has no “Remove saved categories” button.
Saved inquiries: when you submit the contact form or the product details form, a copy of the name, email, phone, category, product name, subject, and message is stored in the same browser, up to twenty recent notes. You can read and remove those notes on the contact page and the product details page. The same submit action opens an email draft. The draft is not a cookie. Sending it is a separate step in your email application.
If you never press those buttons, the site does not create those local storage entries. Clearing site data, using a private window, or removing the keys in your browser settings deletes them. They are not copied to another device.
Google Fonts
Each page asks Google Fonts for DM Serif Display and Rubik. Your browser contacts fonts.googleapis.com and the font file host so the type can load. That is a request to Google, not a cookie set by our script. Google may process the IP address and related technical data under its own policies. We do not receive a report of that request. If the request is blocked, the text still appears in a fallback typeface. We use the fonts only to display the pages. We do not use them to identify you across other sites.
What we do not use
There is no Google Analytics tag, no Meta pixel, no advertising network script, and no embedded video player in these pages. There is no cookie banner that drops a tracking cookie in order to remember the banner, because the site does not set a cookie that would require that reminder. There is no cross-site profile built from your browsing of these pages by our own code.
A hosting provider that delivers the HTML files may keep standard connection logs. Those logs are described in the privacy policy. They are not cookies stored in your browser by this site.
Email and third parties you choose
If you send the inquiry draft, your email provider handles that message under its own terms. If you follow a link in your mail program, that is outside this website. We do not add tracking parameters to the pages for an ad network.
How to control storage
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings even though our scripts do not set them. You can block third-party requests if you do not want the font files to load. You can delete local storage for this site, or use the remove buttons on the contact page. You can browse without submitting a form. None of these choices locks you out of the public pages.
Changes
If a later version of the site sets a cookie, this page will name it, say why it is there, and say how long it lasts before that version is published. The date at the top will change. Today, the accurate statement is that our scripts do not set cookies.
A closer look at what is stored
Saved inquiries use the local storage key mc-inquiries. Each entry can hold the name, email, phone, category, product name, subject, and message from one submit. The script keeps up to twenty of those entries and drops the oldest when a twenty-first is added. The key stays in the browser that created it. It is not a cookie, and it is not sent with the next page view. The site does not store category names from a card.
You can see the inquiry list on the product details page. The remove button deletes the mc-inquiries key. You can also delete it from the browser’s site settings. Closing a normal window does not delete it. Closing a private window usually does. We do not get a copy of the deletion.
Cookies we do not set, named plainly
There is no session cookie for a login, because there is no login. There is no cart cookie, because there is no cart. There is no cookie that remembers a currency or a shipping country. There is no analytics cookie from this site’s scripts, and no advertising cookie that would let an ad network recognise you on a later site. There is no consent cookie, because the scripts do not drop a tracker that would need one. If a browser extension or another program on your computer sets a cookie of its own, that cookie is not ours.
The font request, step by step
The page names DM Serif Display and Rubik. Your browser asks Google’s font service for the files, then draws the text. That ask can include an IP address and the address of the page, because that is how a normal file request works. Google’s own rules cover what Google does with it. We do not add an identifier of our own to the font link, and we do not read Google’s logs. If you block third-party fonts, the layout uses a fallback. The words stay readable. The rest of this policy still applies.
Local storage compared with a cookie
A cookie is often sent back to a server on later visits. Local storage is not. That is why an inquiry copy can exist on your machine while our pages still have nothing to store on a server. It is also why clearing cookies in a browser menu might leave local storage in place, and why clearing site data is the control that removes both. The remove button on the product details page is the direct control for the inquiry key this site creates.
What a later change would look like
If a future version of the site needed a cookie, this page would name the cookie, the reason, and the lifetime before that version went up, and the date at the top would change. A cookie for a cart or for advertising is not part of the current pages. Until such a sentence appears here, the accurate statement is that our scripts do not set cookies.
Browser controls you can use today
In most browsers, site settings for this address show cookies and site data separately. Cookies can be empty for this site even while local storage holds mc-inquiries. Clear site data if you want that copy gone. Use the remove button on the product details page if you want to remove only the inquiry list and leave the rest of the browser alone. A private window is a way to read the pages without keeping the list after you close it. Blocking third-party cookies does not change our scripts, because our scripts do not set a cookie. Blocking third-party requests can stop the font files. The pages still load.
Nothing in the browser controls sends an unsent inquiry to us. The only send step is the one you take in your email application, or a message you write yourself to [email protected], or a call to +61 2 9443 5271. The postal address, if you prefer paper, is 2/53 Salisbury Rd, Asquith NSW 2077, Australia. A letter is not a cookie. It is ordinary mail to the store named on this page.
Read this page with the privacy policy if you want the longer account of forms and email, and with the terms if you want the statement that the site has no checkout. The disclaimer states that the store is independent of Marvel and Disney. Those pages are linked from the footer as buttons so they are not mistaken for the plain address lines beside them.
Other sites and other inboxes
A link that leaves this website, including a link your email program opens, is outside this cookie policy. We do not control the cookies on a mail provider’s site, on a search engine, or on a page you open after you leave. The font request is the third-party request we know the pages make. We do not embed a map, a video, a social feed, or an ad slot that would add another request. If you paste our address into a browser and land on a different shop, compare the street address and this policy. The store described here is the Asquith address printed in the footer.
An email you send is stored by the mail services that carry it, under their rules, for as long as those services and our mailbox keep it. That storage is not a cookie in your browser. Deleting mc-inquiries on your machine does not pull the message back out of a mailbox you already sent. If you want the mailbox copy deleted, ask us. The cookie policy covers the browser. The privacy policy covers the correspondence.
The pages do not use local storage for anything except mc-inquiries, and they create that key only after you submit an inquiry form. Opening a page, scrolling, filtering the collection, or expanding a guide does not write a tracking record. The filter and the accordion run in the page you already loaded. They do not phone home with the word you typed into the search box. If you do not submit a form, the site does not keep a note of the visit, apart from whatever your own browser history keeps for you. History is a browser feature, not a cookie we set, and you can clear it in the browser’s own settings.
That is the storage story in one place: no cookies from our scripts, two optional local lists, one font request to Google, and email only if you send it. The footer buttons open this page, the privacy policy, the terms, and the disclaimer so each of those statements can be read in full. The address lines next to those buttons are text. They are not a second set of trackers.
What you can ignore
You can ignore any claim, on another website or in an advertisement that is not this page, that Superhero Universe drops marketing cookies, runs a pixel, or builds a profile of the figures you viewed. The scripts published with these pages do not do that. You can also ignore a banner that asks you to accept a tracker in order to see the catalog. This site does not show that banner, because it does not need the consent to set a cookie it does not set. If a banner appears, it is not part of this website’s files.
You do need to know about the inquiry key if you submit a form, and you do need to know that a font file may be requested from Google. Those are the only storage and third-party points this policy has to disclose for the current pages. The privacy policy repeats them in the language of personal information. The terms repeat that an inquiry is not an order. Together they are the notice a visitor can check before sending a message to the Asquith store.
